Privacy policy

This page describes what personal data the beskydskalatka.cz website processes, why and for how long. We collect as little as possible: the website uses no advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you across the internet.

Who processes the data

The controller is Tělovýchovná jednota Třineckých železáren, spolek, company ID 45235538, registered at Tyršova 863, Staré Město, 739 61 Třinec. The meeting is organised by its athletics club, Atletický klub TJ TŽ Třinec. For questions about personal data, write to atletikatrinec@centrum.cz.

Visiting the website

  • Hosting and security. The website is hosted by WEDOS Internet, a.s., in the Czech Republic, which also protects it and speeds it up. With each visit, the server briefly records the IP address, the time and the page address. This is used to run the website and to protect it from attacks (legitimate interest). The Wordfence security plugin also blocks suspicious requests on the server.
  • Visit statistics. The website counts by itself how many times each page was viewed, which website the visitor came from (for example Google), in which language, and whether from a phone or a computer. It stores no IP address, cookies or any other identifier, so the numbers cannot tell who visited the website.
  • Cookies and browser storage. The website sets no cookies for visitors. If you switch between light and dark mode, the choice is stored only in your browser and is not sent to the server. Logged-in editors use WordPress’s technical cookies.

Tickets

When you download a ticket on the website, we process its code, the name you can put on it, the number and time of downloads and the time of check-in at the entrance. We need this to issue the ticket and to check it at the entrance. The website deletes the name automatically within 90 days after the meeting. We keep the ticket record without the name to know how many people came to each edition.

To prevent code guessing, the website remembers a fingerprint (hash) of your IP address, not the address itself, and the number of failed attempts for 15 minutes. When we send tickets by e-mail to partners or organisations, we keep the recipient’s e-mail address for three years as a record of delivery. The website then deletes it.

When you write to us

We use data from an e-mail or phone call (name, contact details and the content of the message) only to deal with your request. Journalists and photographers send the accreditation form by e-mail. We use the data in it to process the accreditation and to organise media work at the meeting.

Photos and videos from the meeting

Beskydská laťka is a public sports event. The organiser and accredited photographers take photos and videos there. We publish photos and videos on the website, on Instagram and on Facebook, and TVCOM broadcasts the main competitions. We do this to report on and promote the meeting (legitimate interest). If you find yourself in a photo that you do not want published, write to us and we will remove it.

Donations to the club

When you send a donation to the club’s transparent account, the bank publishes the sender’s name, the amount and the message on the account statement. This is how a transparent account works, and anyone can see it. On this website we only show the total amount raised and the number of donations, never names. If you ask for a donation receipt, we process your name, address and the details of the donation and keep them for as long as accounting and tax regulations require.

Content from other services

  • The player on the Live stream page loads from the TVCOM server. TVCOM sees your IP address and may use its own cookies under its own policy.
  • The video on the About page plays from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode: YouTube sets no cookies until you start the video.
  • Instagram photos on the home page are stored on our server. You only go to Instagram when you click a post.
  • Links to maps, Google Calendar, Instagram, Facebook and the results on online.atletika.cz lead to other websites. They have their own policies.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing and to data portability. You can object to processing that we base on legitimate interest. Just write to atletikatrinec@centrum.cz. If you think we handle your data incorrectly, you can file a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7, uoou.gov.cz).

This policy applies from September 28, 2026.
